England footballer Michelle Agyemang, darts player Luke Littler and cricketer Davina Perrin have been shortlisted for the 2025 Young Sports Star of the Year award.

These three athletes have been recognised for their outstanding achievements over the last year.

Agyemang played a key role in helping the Lionesses secure Euro 2025, Littler secured the world title for the very first time, and Perrin burst onto the scene with a historic innings.

Littler was the recipient in 2024 after his remarkable rise.

The shortlisted athletes were unveiled on a national radio breakfast show.

The champion will be unveiled on the annual sports awards show on Thursday, 18 December.

The ceremony will be televised from 7 PM GMT.

Age: 19 Sport: Football

Just three months after her international debut, Agyemang played a pivotal and thrilling role in England's run to Euro 2025 glory.

She was introduced as a substitute to score vital last-gasp goals in both the knockout stage games.

Her incredible contributions led to her being named the best young player at the Euros.

Later in the year, she was awarded the Golden Girl award for the best young player in Europe.

She was also in contention for the Kopa Trophy for the planet's top young female footballer.

Agyemang, who has been on loan at Brighton from Arsenal, ruptured her anterior cruciate ligament in October.

"Being nominated for this award is an honour," said Agyemang. "Thank you to God and I'm grateful for the support I've received from my loved ones, mentors, colleagues and supporters."

Littler's Profile

Age: 18 Sport: Darts

Littler's 2025 began in incredible form as - at just 17 years old - he became the youngest darts world champion in history.

He secured a dominant victory over Michael van Gerwen in the final.

His subsequent victory at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth player to complete the prestigious triple crown of major titles.

He didn't stop there - his victory at November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he reached world number one for the very first time.

At 18, he is the earliest achiever to do so, breaking the previous record.

"Being nominated for the honour once more is a big honour," stated Littler. "My victory in 2024 was a proud moment for me and I've had another unbelievable 12 months. I want to continue elevating darts."

Davina Perrin

Age: 19 Sport: Cricket

Perrin is one of English cricket's top prospects and surged to prominence with an unbelievable and unprecedented innings in August.

Her brilliant 42-ball century in The Hundred is the quickest ever by an English female in T20s.

It also stands as the equal third-quickest women's T20 century in a top-tier competition.

Perrin ended up as runner-up in the run-scoring charts and was named PCA Women's Young Player of the Year.

"I'm truly honoured to be nominated for the young athlete award," expressed Perrin. "It's a very special feeling. I hope it encourages more young women to get into cricket."
