Latest Oil Plant Strike Demonstrates 'Zero Secure Areas in Russia's Distant Backlines'

Ukrainian UAVs have targeted the Russian oil facility in the city of Ufa, situated around 1,400 kilometers from Ukraine, resulting in detonations and a blaze, as reported by a source in Ukraine's Security Service.

This marks the 3rd Ukrainian security service deep strike in the region in the last month. Those strikes show that there are no secure zones in the deep rear of the Russian Federation.

Zelenskyy Calls On Trump to Mediate Ceasefire in Ukraine

Volodymyr Zelenskyy called on Donald Trump to broker peace in the Ukrainian conflict during a call on the weekend.

Work carried on on the weekend to repair energy infrastructure in the Ukrainian capital, after assaults.

Energy had been restored to in excess of 800,000 citizens by the weekend and the major utility provider stated the key work to restore power was finished though some outages continued.

Cuban Government Denies Allegations of Providing Troops to Ukraine

Havana on Saturday rejected US claims it has provided troops to fight in the conflict in Ukraine, while stating officials in Havana "do not have exact details about citizens of Cuba" participating "voluntarily" or "as part of the armed units of the conflicting parties".

The ministry in the capital said 26 nationals had been convicted to incarceration from 5 to 14 years for participating as mercenaries since September 2023 when information circulated of individuals being dispatched to the frontlines in Ukraine.
