Ukrainian UAVs have targeted the Russian oil facility in the city of Ufa, situated around 1,400 kilometers from Ukraine, resulting in detonations and a blaze, as reported by a source in Ukraine's Security Service.

This marks the 3rd Ukrainian security service deep strike in the region in the last month. Those strikes show that there are no secure zones in the deep rear of the Russian Federation.

Zelenskyy Calls On Trump to Mediate Ceasefire in Ukraine

Volodymyr Zelenskyy called on Donald Trump to broker peace in the Ukrainian conflict during a call on the weekend.

"Provided that a conflict can be ended in a particular zone, then undoubtedly additional conflicts can be stopped as well, encompassing the conflict with Russia," Zelenskyy stated, commending the US President's "exceptional" Gaza truce proposal and requesting the American leader to pressure the Russian government into discussions.

Two civilians lost their lives within a church in Kostyantynivka when it was hit, per regional officials.

In Russia's border region of Belgorod, a truck driver was lost his life by a Ukrainian strike, per regional authorities.

Energy Repair Efforts in Kyiv

Work carried on on the weekend to repair energy infrastructure in the Ukrainian capital, after assaults.

Energy had been restored to in excess of 800,000 citizens by the weekend and the major utility provider stated the key work to restore power was finished though some outages continued.

Air Defence Operations and Drone Interceptions

Ukraine's defense forces neutralized fifty-four of 78 total enemy drones sent targeting Ukraine overnight, the military said on the weekend.

Russia's defence ministry claimed it eliminated 42 UAVs from Ukraine over Russian territory.

Cuban Government Denies Allegations of Providing Troops to Ukraine

Havana on Saturday rejected US claims it has provided troops to fight in the conflict in Ukraine, while stating officials in Havana "do not have exact details about citizens of Cuba" participating "voluntarily" or "as part of the armed units of the conflicting parties".

The ministry in the capital said 26 nationals had been convicted to incarceration from 5 to 14 years for participating as mercenaries since September 2023 when information circulated of individuals being dispatched to the frontlines in Ukraine.

I Want to Live Program Reveals Information on Cuban Enlistment

The program, a state initiative that promotes opposing fighters to give up, reported in May: "Our information indicates the personal data of 1,028 Cuban nationals who entered into agreements with the Russian military in recently."

The Cuban foreign ministry commented of Cuban nationals who might be engaged: "It is irrefutable that no individual possesses the encouragement, dedication, or consent of the Cuban state for their activities."

Relatives of Cuban nationals who traveled to the Russian Federation in the year told news outlets at the time that their family members had been deceptively recruited through ads on digital networks.
