Passionate fans of the actress are urging that a man who jumped a barrier and touched the performer during the recent Wicked: For Good debut be taken into custody or removed from Singapore.

A circulating video shows the individual from Australia pushing past camera operators and lunging at Grande while the cast walked down a promenade accompanied by onlookers.

Co-star Cynthia Erivo promptly pulled the shocked star away from Mr Wen, who was spotted being led away of the gathering by security officers.

Mr Wen shared on Instagram late on Thursday that he was "let go after being detained", though official papers revealed that he was scheduled to appear on the next day. It is unknown if he was formally accused.

Record of Disruptions

This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Notorious Troublemaker", has crashed a performance. His Instagram account includes recordings of him disturbing other celebrity events, including jumping on stage at the pop singer's Sydney concert in June this year and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers concert in the city last winter.

"There needs to be action enforced against him as this is evidently a punishable act," stated an Instagram user, in a response to a video Mr Wen shared of his behavior.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" one Instagram user questioned.

Fans Voice Worry Over the Star's Safety

Many supporters accused Mr Wen for "triggering past anxiety" Grande, who had spoken of experiencing trauma-related anxiety after a suicide bomb attack at the finale of her spring 2017 show in Manchester, claiming the lives of 22 people and wounding many.

"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" commented another message on Instagram.

Some attendees also criticised event staff at the Thursday event for not being adequately prepared; while different individuals demanded digital services to ban Mr Wen's content.

Reaction and Event Details

In footage shared widely, Grande seemed startled when she was touched by the individual. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed comforting her while Mr Wen was escorted away by staff.

Grande has remained silent on the incident, and the rest of the event continued without further issues.

Hundreds of supporters had assembled in a crowd of colorful attire at the Wicked: For Good Asia-Pacific debut in a Singapore mall, including several who had stood in line for as long as many hours before it started.

The film, to be released on 21 November, is the second of a two-film adaptation of the popular theatrical production Wicked, which revolves around the unlikely bond between two contrasting witches.

The production itself is a spin-off of the classic book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who portrays the character Glinda Glinda, was decked out in a light pink sparkling outfit at the event while Erivo, who portrays the Elphaba, wore a sleek black dress featuring roses.

They were joined by co-star Jeff Goldblum.

The initial film, Wicked, was the top-earning film of the previous year in the UK, and scored 10 award recognitions, winning two for excellent wardrobe and artistic direction.
