Ex- Physician Accused of Assault Allegations Against 38 Patients
Prosecutors report that a former doctor now faces charges for carrying out assaults involving thirty-eight individuals who were under his care.
Details of the Grave Charges
Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham faces allegations of dozens of sexual offences – including acts against minors under the age of thirteen – between 2017 and 2021.
A senior prosecutor stated, “Our prosecutors have worked at length to assist a detailed and complex investigation, carefully reviewing the available evidence to establish that there is sufficient evidence to bring the case to trial and that it is in the public interest.”
Scope of the Police Inquiry
These allegations follow what investigators called a “complex investigation” into alleged sexual offences at medical facilities: the Royal Stoke university hospital and Russells Hall hospital.
Spencer is scheduled to appear at the North Staffordshire justice centre on 20 January.

Prosecutors outline the forty-five sexual offences he is charged with:
- 15 counts of assault.
